Happy with upgrade to DF64 Gen 2

Upgraded to the DF64 Gen 2 recently, and it’s been great so far. It’s fast and produces a consistent grind, which has definitely improved my espresso quality. The build feels solid, and I appreciate the stepless adjustment. Overall, very happy with this grinder.

This grinder rocks my socks off

I upgraded to this from a low end "espresso grinder". This machine is amazing. It is so fast. Definitely much quicker than 1g per second. The grind setting is smooth and truly stepless. The quality of my espresso has taken a huge leap forward, and the enormous range on this grinder makes dialing in espresso easy and intuitive. I will have this appliance for the next decade or more and I have zero regrets. Perhaps my only qualm with the machine is that the grind size indicator is only held in place with a set screw, so if you accidentally move it, it could make reproducing your previous grind settings difficult. I have gotten around it by making a small mark that I can use to line up the indicator ring if it ever gets moved around.

10/10, would recommend.

Very impressive grinder

I’ve been using the Turin DF64 Gen 2 grinder for a few weeks now, and absolutely excellent grinder, I’ve watched many reviews, but my own experience did not find the grinder loud as others claimed, perfect operation, excellent results, this beauty can turn yer beans into talcum powder fine if you wish it, I see no reason to spend more money on any other grinder, kudos Turin!

Solid grinder, accurate, infinitely adjustable. It is however very shrill when grinding. Wiah it was more growly than piercing, but considering it only has to run for a few seconds at a time it'a tolerable. It really is crazy fast, spitting out a pile of fluffy grinds in seconds. A couple of slight pushes on the bellows ensure any small bit of retention is blown out. I do kind of wish I'd opted for the variable speed version in some ways, but knowing that model can fairly easily choke on lighter roasts at lower speeds anyway makes me not feel like I'm missing out on that functionality all that much. Overall this is a solid, heavy, well-thought-out piece of kit. Hoping it lasts for years!
