A Touch Of Class

Ya know, a bouquet needs to be tossed here.....
To none other than Samantha, the Coffee Addicts bigwig who came up with a most unique idea:
Why not include Tootsie Rolls, lollipops, Double Bubble gum, Gummi Burgers and other assorted sweets with my Planetary Design Airscape coffee canister order?
A nice touch of class!
This touch of class does lead me to wonder, however:
Do ya suppose that Samantha is in cahoots with my dentist?

Great Coffee Storage

I roast my own coffee and need a place to keep my beans to allow them to off-gas. These containers allow this and once done, they close to create an almost heretic seal so my beans stay fresh - longer. They are on the pricier side but the mechanism that controls the air-release is very well made and is designed with simplicity in mind. So, unless it's broken from misuse, these containers will lost long. Pair this with an uncoated inside and you have a pretty great storage container that can pretty much be used for anything.

Shipping was incredibly fast, packaged well and without any issues. I'll be back again.

Very nice, definitely better / more practical than the ceramic version

The medium small 32oz Matte Black steel version is the one I got, I also have an older Medium 64oz obsidian (shiny) black one. The Lid on this new matte one is also tinted which is a nice touch, all blacked out!

Touch it with oily hands and It will show up though! So not sure how long it will stay beautiful. I guess that might happen with the shiny one too.

I also got a the Ceramic 32oz one which comes with a bamboo lid which is kinda nice (visually) and found the inner seal is NOT very tight, it's like they designed it too small and tried to make up for it with larger rubber gaskets, so it's easy to accidentally tilt and lose your seal. I think it looks beautiful but practicality and usefulness of the steel one is much better.

I haven't tried the glass or plastic versions.

I was thinking of getting the Atmos but I've heard a lot of people complain about those failing, so decided against it. Vacuum packing SHOULD technically be more effective for longer term storage / freshness but I've also heard people talking about the repeated vacuum causing the flavour of the beans to change negatively somehow, I'm not sure if there's any truth to that though (might make an interesting test). Removing 'MOST' of the air is better than nothing and should help keeping the coffee fresher a little longer, it's also a very nice looking and feeling container.
