Should have done this upgrade earlier

Machine: Expobar Leva HX with 58mm E61 group head.
I have been using this machine for over 4 years with the factory filter basket, which has generally produced good shots. Never considered changing it until I saw a machine reviewer state that the VST basket is the 1st upgrade he does when he gets a new machine. I didn't expect that something as simple and inexpensive could make as big an improvement in the results. Shots are consistently smooth with rich crema, without being dependent on a perfect grind and tamping pressure. Basket geometry is completely different from the factory basket, with a larger base area and more perforations. You'll find that the shots pass through much faster and you can use a finer grind.
Highly recommend this product.
