I was really on the fence with the decision to get the K-Ultra or something still very highly rated but 1/2 the price. I'm really happy with my decision. The coffee I've brewed, both pour-over and espresso, has been noticeably improved. I am coming from the Timemore C2 for pour over and built-in Breville Barista Express Impress grinder for espresso. The K-Ultra is super refined; there are little features I didn't know I wanted until I experienced them (silicone grip on the bottom? Why didn't my old grinder have that?). I continue to be pleasantly surprised.

Finally, after spending almost $400 on a grinder I was irrationally happy to find $0.50 worth of little candies in the shipment box. Haha thank you to whoever packed my stuff! Nice touch :)

I ordered a Flair 58+2 and wanted a med-light roast manual grinder to go with it. I have a spare cordless drill and 1/4” extension for really fine grinds. For someone who gets up before everyone else, I find myself using the k ultra over my Fellow Ode 2 every morning before work with the V60/Pulsar and I quite like the ritual. Ode being slightly more clear and K having more body which makes sense due to the flat vs conical but surprisingly close to me.

        Quality and ease of use

I usually do pour-over and Clever Dripper. The K-Ultra is easy to calibrate, easy to clean, easy to use, and the grinding is fast for anything above Setting #5. I don't do RDT, so there is a little bit of static, especially when the amount of coffee in the grinder is close to 30g ( which means the container/collector is quite full). At 30g, some coffee clings to the burr and some hops around onto the table but it's no big deal: a paper towel and maybe a brush will clean everything up. There is precision: you can taste the difference when you switch from one setting to another; and that, to me, is the most important.

        The perfect grinder

Great machine. I use it (too) often to grind beans for my AeroPress. Well designed and a pleasure to use.
