E61 Silicone Head Gasket 8.5mm

by REPA
$8.00

Unlike regular gaskets that are made from rubber these do not have any smell or taste whatsoever, and are easy to change since they will not bake rock hard like rubber does.    If you have ever struggled to change an old gasket you cannot help but notice the awful smell and the black soot that comes off the rubber.  And that is what you are potentially consuming with each drink.

73mm x 57mm x 8.5mm

Fits Profitec pro 500 PID

If you pull 5-15 shots daily in your machine, the 8.5mm is the way to go, it'll last slightly longer (1-1.5 yrs) Fits Profitec, ECM, and Gaggia machines (E61 or 58mm portafilters).
So much better than the OEM cheap black rubber gasket, no nasty burned rubber taste.

Silicone gasket

The team at Coffee Addicts are so friendly and professional !!
These soft silicone gaskets are a must to replace the black hard original ones...
I order the blue 8.5's for my Lelit Bianca (and Lelit Mara).
Simply measure yours before ordering...

Functional

Works well (Profitec Pro 500). Marginally thicker than the stock gasket but "squishier", so the portafilter handle works out to be the same. No leaks. No idea as to longevity (it's only been two weeks at time of review).

Wrong size twice

My machine is a E61 group for lever & after the 8.5 & 8mm are the wrong thickness(too thick). After looking around I finally purchased the same brand of gasket but for 6mm instead. I wish the descriptions should explicitly tell you which group head type it should fit. Otherwise the service is fast.
