Eureka Mignon Facile Grinder

by Eureka
$549.00

The Eureka Mignon Facile grinder builds on the extremely popular Mignon family.  This compact Italian-built coffee grinder features 50mm flat burrs, micrometric adjustments and noise insulation.   The commercial build quality, elegant look and precise consistency make the Eureka Mignon Facile a great choice for any home espresso setup.

Features:

  • ACE System:  Conceived to prevent clumps and eliminate the electrostatic charge of ground coffee, the ACE System is the common denominator in every Eureka on-demand grinder. Due to its regulating action over the coffee outflow, ACE System ensures an incomparable cleanliness and dose consistency.
  • 50mm flat burrs: Hardened steel 50mm burrs
  • Stepless Micrometric Adjustments: Patented by Eureka, the micrometric system with infinite adjustment point is the only one based on the lower burr repositioning.  It guarantees incomparable grinding performances and allows to carry out maintenance operations without losing the grinding setting.

Great espresso grinder

This grinder is a good compromise between the silenzio and the manuale and hard to beat for the price. It has the sound dampening bushings of the silenzio without some of the fancier features like timed dosing. I can definitely live without the timed dosing and such, but the quiet operation is what I love the most. The stepless design is a pro and a con, only because there's no rotation counter to help keep track of where you are in the grind. Watching a video on how to zero out the grinder and find where to set it is a good idea, especially if you plan to switch up your brewing methods often.

Best bang for your buck

This grinder, though it is in the entry level price range, has the horsepower and fine tuning ability that we needed. Took a little tweaking to find the sweet spot for our Rosso two wheel beans and now that we have, we can enjoy our espresso the way it was intended to be. You will not be disappointed. We were originally drawn to a more expensive grinder that came with dose timing etc however, since we already have a scale setup for day to day use, this was not a requirement for us. We can measure the perfect dose anytime!!

Best value grinder out there

I've been using a Mignon Facile for over a year, having moved from a Baratza Virtuoso, and have pretty much only good things to say about it. It's quiet, fast, and grinds great. Dark roasts can be a little clumpy on the finest settings, but pretty much every grinder will clump in that situation, otherwise the grind is nice and fluffy. I get about 0.5 to 1g of exchanged retention, which is pretty good for an entry level espresso grinder. It's easy enough to take apart to clean and doesn't lose the grind setting when the upper burr is removed.

I single dosed with it using both the stock hopper and a 3d printed single dosing hopper and bellows from a 3rd party, and have now moved back to using a full hopper and weighing the output. It performed well in all the above situations. I've been very happy with the grinder.
