The Motta Dynamometric tamper was designed to improve tamp consistency. The interchangeable spring will help the user achieve the same tamp pressure every time and the leveling plate will sit on top of the portafilter basket to achieve a perfectly leveled tamp every time.

    The Perfect Tamper

    Came in recently and purchased and entire set up, including all accessories. This, alongside a leveler, was the best addition I believe I could have made. Not only does it make sure the Tamp is level, it applies 3 different amounts of pressure (changed out via a spring). I've used this countless times already over the last few weeks, and I couldn't recommend anything else!
