Portafilter Pressure And Temperature Gauge Kit

I wanted to leave a review mainly because of the great costumer service that I received from the Coffee Addict Team, they provided excellent service.

The initial gauge that I received had some cracks in the casing which caused the plastic window fall out without using the rubber that wraps around the gauge. When I later tested the unit the reading seem to be a bit off, both temperature and pressure where quite a bit lower then what I expected.

Luckily the Coffee Addict Team recognized the issue after I shared some photo's and they were so kind to send me a new unit! This time the unit was in pristine condition, no cracks in the casing, and the readings were notably higher and much closer to what I had expected. This allowed me to reduce the brew pressure from ~12 bar to the recommended 9 bar for espresso. The temperature readings where also higher, though note that what you're reading down below the portafilter will be a bit lower then what your espresso will be brewed at, mine read ~85 degrees.

If you don't have a pressure gauge and/or thermometer on your espresso machine, this gauge comes highly recommended to reach the desired pressure and/or brew temperature.

put the kit together in under 10 min with some plumbers tape. The gauge matches a second pressure gauge i had on hand and my thermal camera too. shout out to Coffee Addicts staff for throwing in a handful of candy (made our kids day) and the hand written thank you. goes a long way.

Just need to add some Teflon tape on the threads and you can easily read the pressure and temperature at the group head exit.
