The Birthday Cake Blend from De Mello is a vibrant, celebratory seasonal offering designed to replicate the nostalgic profile of a strawberry crumble cake. This technically complex blend utilizes a high percentage of Natural processed Ethiopia Kontama Bombe to provide a deep, berry-forward sweetness, supported by Washed Yirgacheffe for floral clarity. The final component is a Cinnamon Anaerobic lot from Costa Rica, which acts as the aromatic "crust" element, providing the distinct cake-like spice. The result is a medium-light roast that prioritizes fun and approachability while maintaining the high extraction standards De Mello is known for.
The sensory experience is defined by a lush, dessert-like profile, featuring dominant notes of strawberry crumble cake and a creamy, sugary sweetness.
