Grown on the high altitude slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, this lot from Gaia Farm represents the pinnacle of Tanzanian estate coffee. Gaia Farm is a 620 hectare, family run estate in the Karatu district managed by the Vohora family. Neel, Kavita, and their father Ajai have been leaders in the region's coffee industry for generations. The coffee is planted across 50 meticulously managed microblocks, where the combination of fertile volcanic loam and cool highland air allows the cherries to mature slowly, concentrating their sugars and complex acids.
The cup profile is distinctively East African, offering a sophisticated balance between brightness and spice. It leads with a tea like clarity, featuring notes of black tea and aromatic cardamom. The acidity is crisp and lively, reminiscent of fresh grapefruit zest, which lingers through a clean, medium light finish. This washed process lot is versatile enough to shine as a vibrant filter brew or a complex, fruit forward espresso.

Our Coffee Addicts Promise
We’re passionate about fresh, flavourful coffee and we know you are too. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within approximately 6 weeks of the roast date.
Coffee naturally oxidizes slowly over time, but it can still be enjoyed beyond this window. Any beans older than six weeks from roast are clearly marked and automatically discounted, giving you a great value on quality coffee.
