Rogue Wave Coffee’s selection from the A Lel Chaung village in Shan State represents a remarkable success story in Myanmar’s burgeoning specialty coffee sector. Sourced from the A Lel Chaung Specialty Coffee Production Group and the Shwe Taung Thu farmer-owned enterprise, this lot is the result of 160 households shifting their focus toward high-end specialty production. The natural process is perfectly suited to the region's intense, dry heat during harvest, allowing for a slow and controlled drying phase that results in an exceptionally clean, transparent, and complex cup.
The sensory experience is defined by a comforting and sweet profile, anchored by notes of milk chocolate and toasted almond. A vibrant fruit character emerges through layers of pear, golden raisin, and a subtle guava-like tropicality as the cup cools. With a refined tactile mouthfeel and balanced sweetness, this coffee highlights the immense potential of the Danu and Pa-O communities’ dedication to quality. A definitive benchmark for the region: this selection offers a compelling argument for the future of Burmese specialty coffee.

Our Coffee Addicts Promise
We’re passionate about fresh, flavourful coffee and we know you are too. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within approximately 6 weeks of the roast date.
Coffee naturally oxidizes slowly over time, but it can still be enjoyed beyond this window. Any beans older than six weeks from roast are clearly marked and automatically discounted, giving you a great value on quality coffee.
