This vibrant and celebratory lot from Rosso Coffee Roasters’ collection represents the expressive potential of the Gedeo Zone in southern Ethiopia. Sourced from smallholder farmers in the Banko Chelchele village, these beans are a quintessential example of high altitude Yirgacheffe coffee. The fruit is processed using a traditional Natural method: where handpicked cherries are sun dried on raised African beds with constant attention to airflow and moisture. This intentional approach allows the unique characteristics of the indigenous Heirloom varieties to develop a profound sweetness and a lush, fruit forward complexity that remains clear and structured in the cup.
The sensory profile is a nostalgic journey into deep fruit and indulgence, defined by a vivid primary note of ripe blackberry jam. This richness is elevated by the bright, sparkling acidity of pomegranate, which dances across the palate before settling into a silky finish of chocolate caramels. The result is a cup of immense warmth and balance, offering a layered experience that feels both comforting and captivating. A necessary staple for the daily ritual of the discerning brewer.

Our Coffee Addicts Promise
We’re passionate about fresh, flavourful coffee and we know you are too. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within approximately 6 weeks of the roast date.
Coffee naturally oxidizes slowly over time, but it can still be enjoyed beyond this window. Any beans older than six weeks from roast are clearly marked and automatically discounted, giving you a great value on quality coffee.
