This is the first conical grinder from the manufacturer that brought you the extremely popular DF64 single dose coffee grinder.
The DC63 features 63mm red titanium conical burrs paired with a 190W DC motor. Conical burr grinders are known for providing a fuller-bodied coffee with blended, sweeter flavors and the DC63 won't disappoint. The motor spin at a low 400 RPM for quiet operation and to reduce heat and static while grinding progressively, offering a balanced flavor profile over sharp clarity; making it ideal for milky espresso drinks.
The DC63 was designed with espresso in mind, but it is also very capable in the pour-over range. The extremely low retention, compact size and stepless adjustment make it a perfect grinder for any home setup.

This grinder is sold under multiple names as the manufacturer allows private labelling. It is also known as the Turin DF64, G-Iota and Solo.
I bought this grinder because I like dark roasts and got fed up with DF54 jams. The grinder solid, quiet and fast. I love the huge chute and the way it detached magnetically. I’ve had no clogging issue but it is early days. There is more size distribution than my DF54 (as expected). I think I get slightly richer crema with this grinder but the tops of my pucks are a little swampier so I’m still tinkering. I built a rig to let me grind into my portafilter because grinding into a metal cup was disastrous from a static perspective. It was very messy. Had I never owned a DF54, I’d give this 5 stars from a value/performance perspective. I’m still more enthusiastic about the DF54 overall - except for the jamming. I may have more to say in a couple of weeks.
