I had been using a DeLonghi Dedica Arte prior to purchasing the Breville. It was a year of a steep learning curve- coffee from one end of the counter to the other, and I’m sure it has been the root cause of my losing hair! I realized that I was buying my coffee at the store more frequently and not making it at home-I knew frustration lay ahead if I didn’t.
When Breville had their recent machine sale I decided to upgrade. I read many reviews comparing the Breville to others in the same category. I decided on the Breville Express Impress. The main determining factor was the tamping lever.
I purchased the machine through Coffee Addicts. I have bought accessories, parts etc from them in the past and been very happy with their service. I bought the machine from them knowing help was available if needed.
So how do I like this machine? Love it!! Mind you it took me a bit to get my beans “dialed in” but once that was accomplished all was well. The tamping lever makes a perfect puck every time with no coffee mess. As important as that is, consistent coffee is huge!!! Love the hot water accessory as well-I like Americanos.
I am still working on frothing the milk-I don’t drink a lot of lattes etc so no big deal. It is an art but will just take practice.
So for me…I’m glad I purchased this machine. Coffee Addicts have been wonderful throughout my coffee journey. Reliable…I like that! Thanks again to them, and if tou’re contemplating an upgrade think about Breville ExpressImpress.
