Each Moccamaster is handmade and built to last in the Technivorm factory in the Netherlands since 1968. Replacement parts are available for all models with proper care and maintenance, this should be the last coffee brewer you ever need to buy!
The secret behind a perfect cup of coffee is the temperature at which the coffee is prepared. Moccamaster's copper heating element is unique and ensures an optimal brewing temperature between 92°C and 96°C. Why is this temperature optimal? If coffee is made too cold, it tastes sour. If coffee is brewed too hot it tastes bitter. Moccamaster finds the perfect balance and prepares coffee at the right temperature, so you drink the tastiest cup of coffee.
The KBGT is ideal for those who typically brew a full carafe and are looking for the most straightforward process – add your coffee grounds and water, then flip the switch on. The brew basket automatically stops the flow of coffee when removing the carafe. The borosilicate glass lining of our stainless steel carafe retains heat and keeps your coffee hotter longer.
Features:
-
Fast Brewing Time: Simple to use with a quiet brew process, the KBGT Select makes a half or full carafe of coffee in 4-6 minutes.
-
Consistent Temperature: The copper boiling element rapidly heats water to a brewing temperature of 196°F - 205°F and automatically shuts off when the water reservoir is empty
-
Precise Engineering: The boiling action moves the water up the glass tube, where it flows into the outlet arm and pulses over the brew basket, blooming the coffee grounds in a manual pour-over coffee style.
-
Optimized Coffee Extraction: The cone-shaped brew basket steeps the coffee grounds, extracting the coffee's full flavor and maximizing its complexity, taste, and aroma.
-
Thermal Carafe: The glass-lined stainless steel carafe maintains coffee quality, integrity, and taste for up to an hour. Every thermal carafe comes with a Brew-Thru Lid and Travel Lid.
-
Certifications: ECBC certified and SCA approved to meet and exceed the golden cup standard
