Baratza M2 Cone Burr

We upgraded our older Baratza Encore with the M2 burr and WHAT a difference it makes to our espresso drinks! We went from using setting 2 with the M3 (keeping in mind the burr was probably 10 years old) to a setting 10 to get the same, and actually better, grind size for espresso. It is so consistent that the espresso is VERY smooth now! My other half thought I was making good cortados and flat whites before (though I like lattes), and now they're barista level! If you want to up your espresso game, the M2 is the way to go. Yum! Our regular coffee (setting 18 now as opposed to 12) is smoother, too.

I had to change my routine because it grinds so much faster. Few to almost no fines resulting in negligible static residue and less filter blockage.
The creative mix of candy was a sweet and enjoyable touch.

I’m sure it’s a great burr and might fit the Baratza Encore, but it does not fit the Encore esp grinder (the threading will not fit over the shaft). This is disappointing as I specifically asked before purchasing and now I have a burr that I have no use for.
