I have a Coffee Gaggia that I bought in 1999.
It suddenly stopped to work and I was used to dismantle it for cleaning purpose.
I discovered that a plastic fitting connected to the "Tap Set Valve" was broke... maybe because of repetitive heating.
I did a research found out that new models of Gaggia dont have a "Self-Priming Valve".
I found too that this part is not really necessary and can be block with a screw, in fact, new one don't have any SPV: https://coffeeaddicts.ca/products/gaggia-classic-steam-valve-assembly
Nevertheless, because I am perfectionist ;-), I did some research and found exactly the same model at "Whole Latte Love" in USA for 80$ CA.
It is better than the original one because the SPV fitter come with it and in brass instead of plastic.
In the cleaning process, I concluded that it was better change some other parts and it was then that I discovered Coffee Addicts.
So, I ordered this part, the boiler, all gaskets, thermosensors, screws etc.
All the wires ans hoses was still in great condition. The pump is working fine too.
Now, it work perfectly well as new and I am pretty sure it will works again for another 20 years or more.
A new Gaggia machine replacing this one cost closely to 700$ (with all the taxes).
Replacing all the parts cost me around 230$ and it worth it.
You don't need to be an engineer to fix it... it is really simple.
If you found the parts here, buy it here because the service was good, no mistake, fast delivery and it is located in Canada.
But, Whole Latte Love have more available parts if your machine is old like mine.
Hope it will help other Gaggia lovers like me.
Thanks Coffee Addicts.
Over the past few months I have purchased a number of parts to refurbish my old Gaggia Classic. Prices are very reasonable and Samantha and her staff have done everything possible to get me what I need, sometimes at their own cost. I can't say enough about the personal and thoughtful service this company provides.
Hello, I have ordered and installed this. My coffee machine works much better now and it was the exact same model as the one I removed from the machine. Amazing delivery services.
