This aftermarket bottomless or naked portafilter features a La Marzocco style walnut wood handle and will fit most Rocket Espresso, ECM Manufacture, Expobar, Lelit, Profitec, Promac, Rancilio. Royale, San Remo and Vibiemme machines (fins 5.7mm).  Make sure that you measure the fins on your current portafilter to confirm fit.

Taste the difference a portafilter can make. The Barista can watch the coffee brew right from the bottom of the filter basket and immediately know if channeling occurs, signaling that a level tamp was not made, which makes this an invaluable tool for training.  Most Bottomless Portafilters will accept 21 gram triple baskets since portafilter body depth is no longer an issue. This item comes standard with a 58mm 21 gram triple basket, but will also accept any other "standard" sized portafilter basket.

Nice portafilter, poor finish

A few issues with the fit and finish of the portafilter. The bottom edge of the portafilter is extremely sharp and not smoothed or rounded at all. The first time I removed the basket it cut me pretty good.
Handle was not completely sanded smooth. It feels like they missed a spot when sanding, that I fixed with some 240 grit sand paper. Handle also got a treatment with cutting board oil and it made it look a lot better.
Not a fan of 21g baskets, so I swapped the stock one out to a 18g basket.
Overall weight is very pleasant.
I know it's not the most expensive portafilter out there, but for the price, I would have hoped that the fit and finish was a little nicer.

Bottomless pleasure

Simply put we love it, we enjoy a simple americano or espresso shot and the bottomless portafilter makes a simple pleasure even better.
