The Cafelat Splat Mat is shaped liked a splat of espresso (or milk) and also functions as a Corner Mat as well.  The mat is much smaller than the other tamping mats and perfect for use at home. Made from very hard and thick, food grade odourless silicone.  It has been designed to extra great protection to the counter and the baristas.

Before we renovated our kitchen I would have never needed this but it serves a function now. Protects new counter top and fits nicely to the sink.
