Cafetto Liquid Organic Descaler Black

Cafetto LOD® Black high-performance descaling liquid is a heavy-duty descaler with exceptional scale removal capabilities.

Directions:

1. Ensure the left white cap is tightly sealed and slightly loosen the right white cap. Gently squeeze the bottle until the reservoir measures 100mL, remove the left cap and pour from the reservoir.
2. Add 1 Litre of cold water to prepare the descaling solution.
3. Follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions to decalcify, de-lime or descale the machine.
4. Always rinse the machine at least twice with fresh water after decalcifying and before re-filling and reusing the machine.

For the Scale That Won't Shift
Standard descalers handle routine maintenance scale removal effectively. Cafetto LOD® Black is for what's beyond routine — the heavy accumulation that builds up in machines that have gone too long between services, in high-hardness water areas, or in commercial environments where scale formation is aggressive and persistent. LOD® Black is a heavy-duty concentrated liquid descaler formulated with a unique double-action blend of acids specifically selected to tackle the toughest scale buildup inside espresso machine water tanks, boilers, and hot water delivery lines. Where the standard Cafetto Liquid Organic Descaler (LOD Green) is the regular maintenance choice, LOD® Black is the intervention tool.

Double-Action Formula, Certified Performance
The double-action formula combines acids that work synergistically to both dissolve existing scale and inhibit re-formation — addressing the scale you have and slowing the rate at which it returns. Cafetto LOD® Black is certified by independently recognised industry bodies and has been tested on brass and stainless steel surfaces with confirmed results. The concentrated liquid format is efficient: each 500ml bottle, used at 100ml per litre of water, yields 5 litres of descaling solution across 5 full descaling cycles. Comes in a dispensing chamber bottle for measured, spill-free pouring.

No Aluminium — Compatibility Note
One critical distinction from the standard LOD Green: Cafetto LOD® Black is not suitable for aluminium components. It is formulated for brass and stainless steel surfaces only — which covers most commercial espresso machine boilers, water tanks, and delivery lines, but excludes machines or components with aluminium construction. If your machine uses aluminium in its water circuit (check your machine's materials specification or manual), use the Cafetto Liquid Organic Descaler (LOD Green) or Cafetto Renew instead. Always rinse the machine at least twice with fresh water after descaling and before returning it to service. Follow your machine manufacturer's descaling instructions for cycle specifics and frequency.
