This lot is a vibrant representation of the Central Highlands, produced through the collaborative efforts of hundreds of smallholder farmers near the fertile slopes of Mount Kenya. By utilizing the traditional Kenyan cooperative system, these producers combine their harvests at local washing stations where strict quality controls are maintained. The cool temperatures and rich red volcanic soil of the region allow the SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru 11, and Batian cultivars to develop slowly, resulting in a bean density that facilitates remarkable terroir-driven clarity.
The sensory profile is exceptionally structured, opening with a bright sugarcane sweetness and a refreshing citrus character reminiscent of orange. As the coffee cools, a unique and savory complexity emerges, providing a sophisticated umami undertone that is characteristic of the finest Kenyan extractions. The cup is defined by its precision and transparency, offering a crisp acidity and a notably clean tactile mouthfeel. This is the quintessential expression of Central Kenya and a necessary staple for the daily ritual of the discerning brewer.

Our Coffee Addicts Promise
We’re passionate about fresh, flavourful coffee and we know you are too. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within approximately 6 weeks of the roast date.
Coffee naturally oxidizes slowly over time, but it can still be enjoyed beyond this window. Any beans older than six weeks from roast are clearly marked and automatically discounted, giving you a great value on quality coffee.
