The E&B Lab Super-Fine (SF) filter comes from the idea of creating a filter with a higher filtration power than the standard 250 to 350 μm.  The Super-Fine filter has a filtration capacity of 170-μm that is achieved by combining a 170 μm membrane with IMS holing technology.  The number and distribution of the holes are designed to support the filtering membrane and balance the flow.

Suitable for standard portafilters accepting a 58/58.4mm tamper base.

Nice portafilter basket

I thought about buying this basket for a long time and wondered how much of an improvement could it possibly make to my espresso shot. Using the same grind setting as my other basket, it added 4 to 6 seconds to my extraction. The taste of the espresso was fruitier, sweeter and more well rounded. The basket made a noticeable difference. I would recommend it for lighter roasted coffees.

Great baskets

Really like these when pulling light roasts. More forgiving than VST and seems to extract higher.
