The preheat system on the Flair 58 Plus 2 still includes three different levels: low, medium and high, which roughly correlate to brewing temperatures needed for dark, medium and light roasts respectively. And, if you’re feeling the travel itch, the 58 Plus 2 easily unplugs to brew espresso without any wires.
Finally, with the featured valve plunger the workflow on the Flair 58 Plus 2 is unrivaled, ensuring that if you’re brewing for yourself or your friends and family, one shot or multiple, the Flair 58 Plus 2 will delight with the ease and simplicity of creating delicious espresso.

What can I say? I watched a several videos online on this product and decided to try this unit. In one short word ... Incredible! If you are on the fence deciding between a pump style espresso machine or the Flair 58 Plus 2, go with the Flair. It's a bit more of an investment than the entry level pump machines, but the quality of the espresso shots will blow you away. You can use a free phone app with a Bluetooth pressure sensor and Bluetooth scale to mimic the profiles of thousand dollar pump machines. This machine is a real game changer. I tried light roast in the pump machine and it was okay. I tried light roast in the Flair and the flavor profile was mind blowing. If you are deciding, just get this model or any of the Flair models. I am sure you won't be disappointed. I will create a YouTube video series on this Flair 58 plus 2 in the near future. To be fair you will need a flat burr grinder like the DF54 or DF64 for light roast coffee.
I'm loving my Flair 58 +2! It's taken me a few tries to get the workflow sorted, but once I figured it out, I'm getting great shots. I've been using a Gaggia E24 with Gaggimate, which has been great fun, but the lever experience is so tactile and involving.
One thing I've learned is to preheat everything. Even though there is a built-in heater, it's important to add hot water to the group, and flush it through a couple of times to ensure the portafilter is heated.
One final note. Coffee Addicts shipped my machine the next day, and I had it in 3 days (Calgary to Vancouver), via Canada Post. Well done!
