Installation was medium difficulty as the GCP is not the same as in the video linked.
There is about half a second delay between power on and light on, but not really an issue, just how LED adapters work I guess.
For GCP:
Black from LED goes to bottom WHITE (coming from the wall power), RED from LED goes to power button bottom BROWN connector.
The first time for me ever using this piggy-back style connectors and it took a while to figure out that the connectors coming from the LED (red and black) are both female and male.
First remove machine cable from machine male plug, then put the machine cable on the LED piggy maple. This combo now becomes the new female that goes on the machine original male connector. The original cable now connects in 90 degrees to how it was originally orientated, so you have to take this into account:
Power cable: makes it turn 90 degrees to the right, no issue there.
Power button: make it connect 90 degrees towards the bottom (only option because were connecting to the lower connector and the black cable above it stays in it original place).
Tip for the power button connection, this is the hard tight spot to work in:
- Temporary disconnect the grey cable connecting to the pump head closest to the power button connection stack to make room. easy to reconnect at the end just don't forget.
- Temporary disconnect the power button top black cable connection so you can reach the lower brown connector. Once the brown is reconnected, re-connect the top black as well.
- I had to cut away the small zip-tie that holds together the cable stack connecting to the power button so I can reroute the brown cable towards the bottom (as it no longer connects straight through due to the piggy-back 90 degrees design. Be extremely carful when cutting this zip-tie.
Other tips:
- add double sided tape for the small white power adapter and put it on the left internal wall at the back
- remove white shielding from the adapter black and red wires so you can separate them as one goes to the back of the machine and one goes to the front.
With these tips you can probably install this in a GCP in under 10 minutes. Worth the bother and the price!
