I've had to replace the switch on my La Pavoni Professional (1993) before and within a few years, it broke despite not being toggled regularly (I use a 30 min timer plug for safety and convenience).
This one just from the feel of the materials alone seems to be of higher quality. The geometry of the translucent switch also allows better illumination (not that it's necessary), which again reinforces the higher quality. Time will tell how well it holds up but it's also a lot cheaper at coffeeaddict.ca than other online stores (there's not many options when you have a niche machine).
