Purchased this tamper as 58.4mm is recommended by VST for use in their baskets. Fits perfectly, great fit and finish with a nice amount of heft.
This is a beautiful tamper and works great. The 58.4mm size fits my Rancilio basket perfectly. Works much better than a standard 58mm tamper. With my old 58 mm tamper I was using a distributor to smooth out the coffee to the edges. I found that using this tamper without the distributor gives me a better extraction than using the old 58mm and with a distributor. The wooden handle looks great and is clearly well made.
A bit heavier than my previous one (Cafelat), this is a great looking tamper and it fits very well in my hand.
