The PESADO coffee machine portafilter has been designed to optimize efficiency and durability. The body is made entirely of stainless steel to increase strength and performance with heavy usage. Basket not included. Fits Breville machines with 54mm group head.

This is the new hybrid version of the bottomless portafilter. The inside is threaded so that the portafilter can be converted in a spouted portafilter combining the best of both worlds, for the ultimate go-to portafilter that's versatile.

Over time splits or small cracks may appear in your wooden handles, this is the normal ageing process that occurs in all wood. The cracks will not affect the integrity of the handles, as the inner thread is 12mm wide by 80mm long. Be careful around water, please do not soak or leave any of our wooden handles wet as it can cause splitting.
A Precision Portafilter for the Full Breville 54mm Range The Pesado Stainless Steel Bottomless Hybrid Portafilter is purpose-fitted for Breville and Sage espresso machines with a 54mm group head — including the Barista Express, Barista Express Impress, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Barista Touch Impress, Bambino Plus, Infuser, and Duo-Temp Pro. If you're using one of these machines with the stock Breville portafilter, this is the most impactful single upgrade available for your puck prep workflow: the 304 stainless steel construction adds thermal mass at the group head interface, the naked (bottomless) head gives you a clear view of every extraction, and the hybrid threading keeps both portafilter configurations permanently available. Basket not included.
Naked and Spouted — One Portafilter, Both Modes The hybrid design is what distinguishes this from a standard naked portafilter. The head is bottomless as standard, exposing the basket base for a complete, unobstructed view of extraction — channelling, uneven pre-infusion, and puck prep issues all reveal themselves immediately, exactly as intended. When you want to serve into a cup more cleanly or simply prefer the spouted format for milk drinks, the Pesado Hybrid Spout Attachment (sold separately, available in Breville 54mm) threads directly onto the head base and converts it from naked to spouted in seconds without tools. One portafilter — both configurations — no need to own two.
Modular Handles, Your Finish, Basket Not Included The handle is fully modular across the Pesado system: choose a black or white POM handle body (or Full POM, Raya sustainable birch, or Oak Look vacuum-dyed birch), then pair it with an end piece in metallic electro-polished black, bronze, gold, or silver, or a timber end piece in Iris or Riga vacuum-dyed birch. Every combination is selectable at checkout, and end pieces swap at any time via the Pesado M12 x 80mm bolt. The Oak Look handle is sustainable vacuum-dyed birch, wax-coated — small natural splits may develop over time without affecting structural integrity; avoid soaking or extended water exposure. Basket not included — pairs naturally with the Pesado He[%] Breville 54mm High Extraction Basket, the Pesado 54HD or EX54HD High Diffusion Shower Screen, and the Pesado Gravity Distributor 54mm for a complete Breville 54mm precision extraction setup.
