The PESADO coffee machine portafilter has been designed to optimize efficiency and durability. The body is made entirely of stainless steel to increase strength and performance with heavy usage. Basket not included. Fits Breville machines with 58mm group head.

This is the new hybrid version of the bottomless portafilter. The inside is threaded so that the portafilter can be converted in a spouted portafilter combining the best of both worlds, for the ultimate go-to portafilter that's versatile.

Over time splits or small cracks may appear in your wooden handles, this is the normal ageing process that occurs in all wood. The cracks will not affect the integrity of the handles, as the inner thread is 12mm wide by 80mm long. Be careful around water, please do not soak or leave any of our wooden handles wet as it can cause splitting.
A Precision Portafilter Built for the Breville 58mm Platform The Pesado Stainless Steel Bottomless Hybrid Portafilter is purpose-fitted for Breville espresso machines with a 58mm group head — the Dual Boiler (BES920), Oracle (BES980), and Oracle Touch (BES990). If you own one of these machines and are still using the stock plastic-handled Breville portafilter, this is the most impactful single upgrade you can make to your puck prep workflow. The 304 stainless steel construction adds thermal mass to the group head interface, the naked (bottomless) design gives you an unobstructed view of every extraction, and the hybrid threading means you're not committing permanently to either configuration.
Naked and Spouted — One Portafilter, Both Modes The hybrid design is what sets this portafilter apart from a standard naked alternative. The head is naked by default, exposing the full basket base so you can watch extraction unfold from the first drop — immediately revealing channelling, uneven flow, or puck prep issues that a spouted portafilter would conceal entirely. When you want to serve into two cups simultaneously or simply prefer the spouted format, the Pesado Hybrid Spout Attachment (sold separately) threads directly onto the head base in seconds, converting it from naked to spouted without any tools or additional hardware. One portafilter. Both configurations. No compromise.
Modular Handles, Your Finish, Basket Not Included The handle is fully modular across the Pesado system — choose a black or white POM handle body (or Full POM, or Raya sustainable birch), then pair it with a metallic end piece in black, bronze, gold, or silver electro-polish, or a timber end piece in Iris or Riga vacuum-dyed birch. Every combination is available at checkout, and end pieces can be swapped at any time using the Pesado M12 x 80mm bolt. Note: the wooden Oak Look handle is made from sustainable birch that has been vacuum-dyed and coated in a heat and water-resistant wax — small splits or cracks may develop naturally over time without affecting handle integrity. Avoid soaking or leaving wooden handles wet. Basket not included — pairs naturally with the Pesado MV HD High Diffusion Shower Screen and the Pesado Shot Mirror for a complete 58mm Breville upgrade.
