Pesado Stainless Steel Bottomless Hybrid Portafilter (Nuova Simonelli)

The PESADO coffee machine portafilter has been designed to optimize efficiency and durability. The body is made entirely of stainless steel to increase strength and performance with heavy usage.  Basket not included.  Fits Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino as well as some Bezzara machines.

Handle connection: M12

Note: Oak look is made of sustainable birch wood vacuumed dyed, coated in a heat and water resistant wax.

Over time splits or small cracks may appear in your wooden handles, this is the normal ageing process that occurs in all wood. The cracks will not affect the integrity of the handles, as the inner thread is 12mm wide by 80mm long.  Be careful around water, please do not soak or leave any of our wooden handles wet as it can cause splitting.

A Precision Portafilter for Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino The Pesado Stainless Steel Bottomless Hybrid Portafilter is engineered to the Nuova Simonelli group head standard — the fitting used by Nuova Simonelli (Aurelia, Appia, Oscar, and Mythos-paired commercial machines), Victoria Arduino (including the Black Eagle and White Eagle), and select compatible Bezzera models. If you're running one of these machines with the stock portafilter, the Pesado is a direct precision upgrade: 304 stainless steel construction throughout, the naked (bottomless) head for full visual extraction diagnosis, and the hybrid threading that keeps both configurations permanently available. Basket not included.

Naked and Spouted — One Portafilter, Both Modes The hybrid design distinguishes this from a standard naked portafilter. The head is bottomless by default, exposing the basket base completely so you can watch every extraction unfold — channelling, uneven pre-infusion, puck prep inconsistencies all become immediately visible in a way a spouted portafilter never reveals. When service or preference calls for a spouted setup, the Pesado Hybrid Spout Attachment (sold separately) threads directly onto the head base and converts it from naked to spouted in seconds — no tools, no additional hardware. The same 304 stainless steel head, two configurations, no compromise between them.

Modular Handles, Your Finish, Basket Not Included The handle is fully modular across the Pesado system: choose a black or white POM handle body (or Full POM, Raya sustainable birch, or Oak Look vacuum-dyed birch), then pair it with a metallic end piece in black, bronze, gold, or silver electro-polish, or a timber end piece in Iris or Riga vacuum-dyed birch. Every combination ships at checkout, and end pieces swap at any time via the Pesado M12 x 80mm bolt. The Oak Look handle is sustainable vacuum-dyed birch, wax-coated — small natural splits may develop over time without affecting structural integrity; avoid soaking or extended water exposure. Pairs naturally with the Pesado HD MV High Diffusion Shower Screen and the Pesado He[%] High Extraction Basket (58mm) for a complete NS and Victoria Arduino precision extraction setup.
