Phil & Sebastian's Alter Ego is their carefully crafted dark roast that delivers bold character without crossing into burnt territory. The beans remain chocolate brown through a well-developed roasting process that brings forward warm campfire notes, burnt caramel sweetness, and rich dark chocolate. Sourced from the Naranjo family's La Obediencia farm in Costa Rica's Santa Rosa region, this white honey processed Catuaí is roasted to create a syrupy, full-bodied cup with depth and roundness. If you're looking for darker roast flavours that still respect the quality of the coffee underneath, Alter Ego strikes that balance with precision and purpose.

We love fresh coffee as much as you do. That’s why we recommend enjoying your coffee within 7–28 days of the roast date for the best flavour.
Coffee is still widely enjoyed well beyond this window, with oxidation happening slowly over time. Any coffees past five weeks from roast will always be clearly indicated and automatically discounted.
