Profitec Drive Espresso Machine

The Profitec Drive is the evolution of the very popular Profitec Pro 700. The Drive has aesthetic improvements, a new PID, and now comes standard with a flow control.

The Drive offers you maximum performance and convenience. To get your machine up and running faster, you can activate the Fast Heat-Up mode. Regardless of this, you have the option to program automatic switch-on and switch-off times.

The built-in Flow Control valve allows you to regulate the water flow to the brew group and also to change it during brewing (Flow Control). Various settings are available for in active and passive pre-infusion modes to achieve the best possible extraction result.
The integrated PID control allows individual temperature settings for both boilers. The discreet OLED display not only shows you the espresso’s flow time to the second, but also provides you with a wealth of information. In addition, you have the option of making a variety of settings.

Depending on your needs, you can choose between water tank and fixed water connection modes and switch the steam boiler on or off as needed.

The Profitec Drive is engineered and built in Germany; resulting in a very well built and reliable espresso machine.

Features:

• E61 Group Head: The E61 brew head design has been around for 50 years and is used in the majority of the high end home espresso machines.  It is known its reliability and temperature stability due to heavy brass head combined with a thermosyphon system keeping the group head hot.  
• Dual Stainless Steel Boiler: The Drive features dual insulated stainless steel boiler and the ability to turn off the steam boiler for energy savings.
• PID Temperature Control:  The PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controller allows the user to precisely adjust the steam and brew boiler temperatures for improved temperature stability.  It also doubles as a shot timer while brewing.
• Programming functions: The PID is also programmed with a suite of convenient features. The Drive can be set to wake up and power down at two unique times per day and can be set with reminders to backflush and change your water filter. Additional features like programmable pre-infusion (passive and active) and an eco mode make the Drive Profitec’s most advanced machine yet.
• Pressure Gauges: In addition to the two pressure gauge for the brew and steam boilers, the Drive features a manometer on the E61 group so you can also measure the real pressure on the coffee puck having a much more precise and accurate control of the coffee extraction.
• Joystick Wands Control:  The joystick, also called lever or push valve, locks in position for immediate full steam power.
• Powerful steam:  The Drive features a higher average steam output of up to 2 bars due to an improved PID and safety valve.
• Rotary Pump: The commercial grade rotary pump draws from the machine's internal water reservoir or allows for the machine to have a direct water connection from the water supply.
• Beautiful Finish:  The body, water tray and feet are made of stainless steel with no sharp edges and built for a long lasting and easy to clean finish.
• Professional tamper:   Comes standard with a stainless steel tamper instead of the cheap and flimsy plastic tamper typically included with espresso machines,
