This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Konga Cooperative located within the coffee region of Yirgacheffe in the Gedeo Zone, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, Ethiopia. The Konga Cooperative is part of the larger Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Union (YCFCU), with approximately 600 farmers contributing to this Fair Trade and Organic certified lot. Ethiopian heirloom coffee varietals are chosen from the forest and transplanted to small gardens, adding to the incredible complex flavor profiles. This washed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe exhibits characteristic bright acidity with floral and citrus notes, along with fruity complexity including strawberry, lemon, and honeysuckle undertones.
