The Rhino Coffee Gear commercial knock chute is neat and stylish & perfect for cafés, restaurants and office applications. Made from heavy duty 304 grade stainless steel, this knock chute has a small foot print, making it an easy fit into just about any position in a counter top. Using an ‘in-bench’ chute takes up less bench space (and keeps the floor clear). The chute design also allows for 'under counter' grounds disposal into a wide variety of multipurpose bins. The knock bar is welded to the side, which not only makes it secure but reinforces the sides - making the Rhino Coffee Gear Coffee knock chute one of the "toughest" on the market! The replacement rubber sleeve helps protect your portafilter and reduces noise. The rubber gasket surround protects both the bench and the barista's fingers. It's also easily replaceable.
Dimensions: Approx 140mm x 150mm x 110mm (5.51 x 5.91 x 4.33 in)
Please note: We recommend you use the actual product as the template when cutting into benchtops to ensure your measurements are exact.
Grounds Off the Bench, Into the Bin Below
The Rhino Square Open Bottom Knock Chute is a commercial in-bench grounds disposal solution: a 304 stainless steel frame that fits into a cut-out in the countertop, sits flush with the surface, and routes spent espresso pucks directly downward into whatever bin or container sits below the bench. The open-bottom design means there's no capacity limit on the chute itself — pucks fall through continuously into a standard bin, keeping the knock chute clear and the bench clean without stopping to empty a built-in container. At approximately 140mm x 150mm, the footprint is compact enough to fit into most commercial counter runs without sacrificing significant prep space.
304 Stainless Steel, Welded Bar, Replaceable Components
The chute body is heavy-duty 304-grade stainless steel throughout — commercial-grade material chosen for durability under the daily repetitive impact of espresso service. The knock bar is welded to the side of the chute rather than mounted on a bracket or friction-fit post, which both secures the bar and reinforces the chute walls — making the Rhino Square one of the more structurally solid in-bench options on the market. The rubber sleeve over the knock bar protects the portafilter during knocking and absorbs impact noise, and it's designed to be removed and replaced when it wears without requiring a new chute. The rubber gasket surround at the top edge protects the bench surface and the barista's fingers from contact with the stainless rim during use.
Installation, Spare Parts and the Round Alternative
The Square Knock Chute requires a countertop cut-out for installation. Rhino recommends using the physical product as the template when marking the cut — stated dimensions are a guide, but slight manufacturing variations mean the actual unit should be on-site before any cutting begins. Minimum recommended clearance under the bench will depend on the bin or container chosen. Replacement rubber sleeves and gaskets are available as spare parts for ongoing maintenance. For the equivalent round format — same open-bottom concept, 304 stainless construction — the Rhino Round Open Bottom Knock Chute is also available at Coffee Addicts. For a surface-mounted knockbox that doesn't require bench installation, the Rhino Stainless Steel Knock Box and Rhino Thumpa Bench Top Knockout Tube are alternatives also stocked at Coffee Addicts.
