Sipstruck's El Danto Typica showcases the refined sweetness and balance that make Typica worth preserving. Maria Elena Castro and her son Luis Salazar recognize the exceptional cup quality this varietal delivers, dedicating small plots at their El Danto farm in Zarcero, Costa Rica's famed West Valley region, to cultivating Typica separately from their other coffees. Grown at 1,750 meters and traditionally washed before being sun-dried on raised beds, this six-bag micro-lot delivers butterscotch, brown sugar, and Bosc pear notes with pristine clarity. The result is a beautifully balanced cup that demonstrates why Typica remains a cherished varietal despite its lower yields and greater vulnerability.

We’re passionate about fresh, flavorful coffee and we know you are too. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within approximately 30 days of the roast date.
Coffee naturally oxidizes slowly over time, but it can still be enjoyed beyond this window. Any beans older than five weeks from roast are clearly marked and automatically discounted, giving you a great value on quality coffee.
