La Pavoni Brass Group Head Sleeve

Sold out
$98.50

Coffee Sensor La Pavoni brass group head sleeve replacement.  This is a direct replacement for the OEM plastic sleeve that most Pavoni owners dislike.  It won't solve the overheating problem that can occur with the La Pavoni lever machines, but will improve temperature surfing, recovery time.  It is also precisely deigned to improve water flow.

This will fit all Millennium lever machines that use the plastic group head sleeve (La Pavoni part 371133).

Does not include the o-ring that must be purchased separately.  We also recommend using some food safe grease on the o-ring.

Also available in stainless steel.

Notes:

  • The brass sleeves are hand made and might have some finish difference from the manufacturing process.  This will not impact functionality.
  • The metal sleeve is slightly harder to get inside the group head but is well worth it!
  • Take precaution when installing the sleeve to ensure it is not cross-threaded
  • We recommend using the sleeve removal tool to simplify the process.

Much improvement over stock group head sleve

The La Pavoni is 10 years old, group head had not been rebuild in 5 years. I make 2 double shot coffees every morning, grind my coffee as needed with a burr grinder.
I find the brass group head and Silicone piston V seal has produced a more constant tasting shot, and so far the mechanics are operating smother than new.
The folks at Coffee Addicts were very helpful and sorted out a small problem I made exceptionally quickly.

Absolutely Marvelous!

Seemed a bit posh to swap out something not broken....but everything I have purchased from Coffee Sensor has been a revelation in quality...this is no exception. I decided to wait until I got the group head sleeve removal tool before installing. Definitely worth the purchase because the original sleeve was in there very tight and I likely would have broken the plastic one getting it out with any other method. The new sleeve was a dream...all the rings and gaskets went on fine by hand (no picks necessary like videos show). Basically cleaned and rebuilt the group head put her back together and WOW!! It is like a totally different machine in many ways. I thought I was just eliminating plastic and doing a bit of pimpin but it is smoother and I am pulling at 9 bars vs. 6 bars (which it previously prefered)...I actually hit 11 without even knowing. Definitely an unexpected upgrade.
This was installed in an Esperto Abile Pro...If you have one the online vids are of B-plus or Coffee Sensor modded group heads the La Pavoni is a bit different. It goes from the top down; Pressure gage with a square nut, Hex nut with a skirt, glue, regular hex jamb nut that limits the downward piston travel all nestled ontop of a bit of thread attached to the piston rod. take 2x 12mm wrenches. Keep the lower one stationary and turn the top one counter clockwise (lefty loosey) glue (locktite) broke easily and I kept the gage and top skirted nut together, removed the lower jamb nut and PUUUUUshed the piston out. On assembly I was a bit worried about getting the piston back in because of the top ring...but once they were squarely mated up to the new sleeve I ran my thumb nail around the lubed gasket pushing it in toward the piston it just popped right in with moderate pressure.

SUPPLIED FAST AND UNABLE 2 USE

The group head sleeve that I received could not use because the wrong size silicone were sent to me but the rest - gaskets - pressure gauge - are fantastic . The brass sleeve is well engineered and mfg .TTFN BE WELL Eric Stubbert
